Selvage (2011; loop 6m 33s )

Tracing a line of seagulls' movements on the Tagus River at night,
“Selvage” is a looping video installation using multi-channel sound
that tries to grasp at the perpetual cycle of promises, vows and
disappointment – that one makes promises and breaks them, yet
inevitably - perhaps even necessarily - makes them again despite the
knowledge that in all likelihood they will be broken again. On a piece of
woven fabric, a selvage is the edge produced to prevent unravelling.

"Selvage" is presented here with stereo sound.
